Educational Concerts

The institution has maintained a tradition of educational concerts since its founding. These events blend musical performances with accessible or specialized commentary to introduce audiences to classical masterpieces. In the early period, Antalffy Endre organized these educational events, successfully bringing the public closer to musical works. Composer Csíky Boldizsár subsequently managed this concert system for nearly four decades, demonstrating responsibility, passion, and competence in carrying out this important mission. Educational concerts are organized at two levels: for older students (grades V-VIII) with more challenging musical content, and for younger students (grades I-IV) with simplified themes and programs. The programs employ varied themes to guide young people interested in learning more about music. Currently, Professor Carla Gliga oversees the educational concert initiative, continuing the tradition that has inspired many participants to become lifelong classical music enthusiasts.
