Néstor Bayona - Conductor

NÉSTOR BAYONA is a Spanish conductor based in Berlin and Barcelona. In 2023, he was appointed resident conductor of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, after serving as assistant conductor of the orchestra in the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 seasons. With a career spanning over a decade, Néstor Bayona has gained recognition from international orchestras and opera houses. In the 2024-2025 season, he will make his debut at the Festival de Música Española with the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias and with the Orquesta de Extremadura. He will also conduct Romeo and Juliet by Gh.Gounod at Opera Śląska and will debut at Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, Teatr Wielki in Warsaw, and Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo. In the 2023-2024 season, Néstor conducted Cavalleria rusticana and I Pagliacci at the Hungarian Opera in Cluj-Napoca, at the Jan Kiepura Festival with Filharmonia Krakowska, assisted Marin Alsop in the production of Die schwarze Maske by Krzysztof Penderecki, and worked with Lawrence Foster on the production of Pelléas and Mélisande by Cl.Debussy and Lulu by A.Berg at the Enescu Festival. He also conducted at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona and made his debut with the Orquesta Sinfónica de RTVE in Madrid and conducted concerts with NOSPR, Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès in Barcelona, and the Transilvania State Philharmonic in Cluj Napoca. Previously, Néstor received invitations to conduct the Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille at the Festival International de Piano de la Roque d'Anthéron with soloist David Kadouch and at the Grand Théâtre in Aix-en-Provence with David Fray. In Germany, he conducted the Bochumer Symphoniker and made his debut at the Berliner Philharmonie with the Deutsche Skandinavische Jugend-Philharmonie. Previously, Néstor was assistant conductor at Opéra de Marseille in the 2018-2019 and 2021-2022 seasons, as well as in productions at Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Komische Oper in Berlin, Frankfurter Oper, and Pentatone for the recording of Fanciulla del West by G.Puccini. He has worked with renowned conductors such as Lionel Bringuier, Péter Eötvös, Domingo Hindoyan, Henrik Nánási, Neeme Järvi, Susanna Mälkki, Ingo Metzmacher, and Pinchas Steinberg. In 2021, Néstor was recognized as an associate member of the Royal Northern College of Music, an award for the college's emerging graduates. Néstor studied piano at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester with Helen Krizos, where he received the Gold Medal for his achievements as a pianist. He completed his master's degree in piano at the Haute École de Musique de Genève under the guidance of Nelson Goerner and his master's in conducting with Laurent Gay. Subsequently, he moved to Berlin to obtain a postgraduate diploma in the art of conducting at the Universität der Künste under the guidance of Steven Sloane and Harry Curtis. Néstor was nominated as an emerging conductor of the Ulysses Network and received the International Ciutat de Lleida Prize 2015 for his cultural contribution to his hometown, Lleida. He is currently the artistic director of the Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition in Lleida.

Csíky Boldizsár Jr. - Piano

CSÍKY BOLDIZSÁR Jr. graduated from the Art High School in Târgu Mureș in the piano class of professors Szőnyi Márta and Ávéd Silló Éva, continuing his training at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj Napoca in the piano and composition departments with Ileana Prada, Dana Borșan, and Hans Peter Türk. From 1991, he attended postgraduate courses with pianist Jandó Jenő at the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy in Budapest, in 1992 he received a study scholarship in Lübeck (Germany) at masterclasses held by Professor Lev Naumov, and between 1993-1997 he participated in the courses of Professor Walter Krafft from Munich. In 1998 he participated in the summer course at Fontainebleau (France), where he studied with professors Gaby Casadesus, Philippe Bianconi, and Philippe Entremont. During his student period (1987-1992) he won five national prizes, and in 1994 he was awarded the Cella Delavrancea Prize. In 2000, after numerous collaborations, the Münchener Musikseminar Institute (Germany) granted him the title of permanent soloist. He has performed concerts with all the symphony orchestras in Romania and has made several CD recordings, for radio and TV. As a performing artist, he has given over 800 recitals and concerts in most of the country's musical centers and abroad: Austria, England, Bulgaria, Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, Scotland, Ukraine, Hungary, Czech Republic, Russia, Japan, America. In 2006 he obtained the title of Doctor of Music. He is currently a professor at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca.

Borsos Edith - Soprano

Born in Târgu Mureș, soprano BORSOS EDITH trained at the Gh.Dima Music Academy in Cluj Napoca, then perfected her skills at the Opera Studio in Budapest. She is the winner of the second edition of the Simándy József International Singing Competition organized in 2011 in Szeged, Hungary, a competition presided over by the renowned opera singer Marton Éva. Her artistic achievements also include other distinctions such as the Grand Prize of the Hariclea Darclée International Singing Competition in Brăila (2010), a competition founded by artist Mariana Nicolesco, and she is also proud that, also in 2010, she became a finalist of the Moniuszko International Singing Competition in Warsaw. Among others, she has appeared on the stages of the Hungarian Opera in Cluj, the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, the Erkel Theatre and the Palace of Arts in Budapest, interpreting roles from operas by Mozart, Verdi, Mascagni, Kálmán. She is an equally sought-after performer in oratorio and lied genres.

Hajdú Diana - Mezzo-soprano

Mezzo-soprano HAJDÚ DIANA has a rich opera and oratorio repertoire, as well as vast musical experience. Between 2008 and 2020 she was an artist at the Hungarian State Opera, then, in the period 2020–2021, she performed on the stage of the Budapest Operetta Theatre, and since 2021 she has been a member of the Hungarian Radio Choir. She began her musical studies at the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy, in the repetition and piano accompaniment section, then obtained her diploma as a piano teacher and chamber music at the University of Pécs, and later graduated with a master's degree specializing in classical singing at the University of Debrecen. Her development as a soloist was guided by numerous renowned artists, including Bojtor Katalin, Gáti István, Komlósi Ildikó and Marton Éva; she also participated in prestigious masterclasses. Her opera repertoire is extremely rich, including roles such as Judit (Bartók Béla – Bluebeard's Castle), Dido (Henry Purcell – Dido and Aeneas), Cherubino (The Marriage of Figaro) and Dorabella (Così fan tutte) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Rosina (G.Rossini – The Barber of Seville) or Santuzza (P.Mascagni – Cavalleria rusticana). She has also performed roles in operas by P.I.Tchaikovsky (Olga, Polina, Jeanne d'Arc), as well as in numerous other works from the classical and romantic repertoire. As a soloist, she regularly appears on national and international stages, giving concerts in cities such as Budapest, Rome and Brussels. As an oratorio soloist, she has performed reference works from the sacred repertoire, such as Mass in B minor and St. Matthew Passion by J.S.Bach, Messiah by G.F.Händel, Requiem and Coronation Mass by W.A.Mozart, Nelson Mass and Stabat Mater by J.Haydn, as well as works by A.Dvořák and G.Verdi. In 2021, she also participated in the performance of the Christmas Oratorio by C.Saint-Saëns, alongside the Hungarian Radio Orchestra and Choir, a concert broadcast on television. An important moment in her career was the concert opera performance of Bartók Béla's opera, Bluebeard's Castle, presented in several locations, as well as the interpretation of the role of Jolán in the contemporary opera by Cser Ádám, Atelier, at the National Theatre in Miskolc, in 2025. Her artistic activity is marked by openness to both classical and contemporary music, managing to move easily from one style to another.

Pataki Adorján - Tenor

Born in 1981, PATAKI ADORJÁN trained at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj following the singing specialization, his master being Marius Vlad. Since 2005 he has been active as a soloist of the Hungarian Opera in Cluj, while also collaborating with the philharmonics from Arad, Oradea, Sibiu, Satu Mare, Brașov, Târgu Mureș, Craiova, Vâlcea, Iași, Botoșani, with the Chamber Orchestra from the capital, as well as with the Romanian Opera in Cluj and with the Operas from Timișoara and Budapest. During tours he has sung in various cities in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary and Spain. His performances have been appreciated at competitions such as the Traian Grozăvescu International Singing Competition in Lugoj, the Ionel Perlea International Lied Competition in Slobozia, the Lehár Ferenc International Operetta Competition.

György Levente - Bass

GYÖRGY LEVENTE, manager of the Târgu Mureș State Philharmonic, studied double bass at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj (between 1995-2000), then from 2011 he perfected his skills in Switzerland as a Pro Basso scholarship holder. As a vocal artist and opera soloist he trained at institutions such as Hochschule der Künste in Bern (in the class of Professor Elisabeth Glauser) and Schweizer Operastudio, then at Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Zürich, guided by Marc Kissoczy, he also obtained his diploma in orchestral conducting. Starting in 2005 he benefited from a scholarship from the Tonkünstlerverein in Lausanne, then becoming the winner of the Migros Kulturprozent singing competition in Zürich for another year of study scholarship. He enjoyed the guidance of masters in the field of lyrical art such as: Nicolai Gedda, Francisco Araiza, Hans Peter Blochwitz, Polgár László, Cornelia Kallisch, Lani Poulson. He debuted at the Swiss theatre Biel-Solothurn, where he was a guest soloist for five years, and between 2011 and 2020 he worked as a soloist at the Theater für Niedersachsen in Hildesheim (Germany). His repertoire includes over 40 roles from operas and operettas by composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Donizetti, Verdi, Wagner, Smetana, J.Strauss, Offenbach, Puccini, Ravel, Martinu. He also approaches the vocal-symphonic genre, performing important solo roles.
